Just two blocks from
Purdue University you will find the 1929 Triple XXX Root-Beer Drive-In, Indiana's first drive-in, decked out in all of its
orange and black glory. The triple "XXX" mark stands for the highest quality grade of root-beer. Inside the Triple
X, 48 black and orange swivel stools follow along the curving counter. The top-notch Triple XXX Root-Beer is on tap and it
comes in a cold frosted thick glass mug. Accompanying my superb root-beer was an equally magnificent ¼ lb. bacon and
real cheese Bert Burger. The Triple X burgers are made with only 100% unfrozen sirloin that is ground fresh daily on site
and contains no additives or fillers. All of the X's shakes and ice cream desserts are made with local Glovers Ice Cream.
The Triple XXX is open 24 hours Monday-Saturday. On Sunday it's open until 8:00pm and opens on Monday @ 6:00am. The breakfast
menu is available all day long and although they don't take credit cards, they do have an ATM inside. Enjoy!
